As a new joint venture between two of the world’s leading sports media and production businesses, this dynamic, entrepreneurial and rapidly growing organisation has agreed one of the largest sporting deals in South American history, to develop global audiences and increase revenue generation from traditional broadcast and digital platforms across the world. Operating within content distribution, advertising, sponsorship and platforms, the business will undergo exponential growth through the roll-out of these global contracts and coverage. A high-profile opportunity has now been created for a Head of Production to join the Media and Content production office in Buenos Aires. With a remit to drive the output of all events production, your brief includes:
•Formulation, development & creation of programming & host broadcast production guidelines
•Development & management of the Production tender process for all programming & host broadcasting
•Responsibility for delivering domestic & world feeds on time & to budget
•Leading the definition, style, editorial content & direction of world feeds
•Ensuring compliance with broadcaster & client guidelines
•Ensuring & enforcing match running orders & relevant material
•Building & developing strong client & broadcaster relationships with international broadcasters, independent production companies, key stakeholders & external third parties
•Monitor & report incoming feeds from live outside broadcasts on game nights
•Liaison with Production & Digital teams to ensure internal standards, delivery & budgets are met
With significant experience of live sport television production, you will have a thorough knowledge of TV production and football coverage, an understanding of world football broadcasting, evidence of working on the TV production of major sporting events and a strong editorial awareness of the game. The role requires fluency in English, Spanish and ideally an understanding of Portuguese, alongside the ability to thrive in a dynamic, challenging environment, a proactive nature and strong relationship and team building skills. Regular travel is envisaged either to attend matches or for discussions with broadcasters across South America. This role would suit either a Head of Production with significant experience of working with South American Broadcasters in live sporting events or a Spanish speaking individual from Europe with experience of broadcasting domestic European leagues or UEFA competitions.
