Job Description

Location: Ezpeleta (Greater Buenos Aires, South)

Promote Labor Safety direct and outsourced employees, implementing programs and actions to approach and prevent accidents and ensure employee health, supporting deployment of the HSE Management System. &


Main Responsibilities:

    • Performing HSE inspections and audits, looking for documentary and behavioral evidence that internal Labor Safety procedures are being followed;
    • Being in charge of the availability and proper condition of fire extinguishers, hoses and their accessories, gas monitoring equipment for hazardous work, analyzing reports from outsourced companies, as well as monitoring maintenance, among other tasks;
    • Teaching various HSE training courses, preparing material and presentations, whenever necessary;
    • Monitoring outsourced personnel regarding HSE procedures, calling meeting and establishing action plans, whenever necessary;
    • Controlling third party HSEQ documents, providing their collection, organization, filing and safekeeping;
    • Assisting the Technology team in the preparation and revision of Chemical Safety Datasheets for the company''s products, according to legal requirements;
    • Supporting the granting of non-routine Work Permits, analyzing and completing documents, as well as instructing corrections, when necessary;
    • Participating in project kick off meetings with outsourced companies in work execution, assisting the Engineering department, while assessing delivered documents, as well as informing safety procedures to be followed;
    • Being in charge of making PPEs (Personal Protection Equipment) available to employees, according to the kind of hazard involved;
    • Being responsible for the communication of work-related accidents, following internal and legal procedures that may be necessary;
    • Participating in Work Accidents analysis, investigating root causes, immediate and secondary causes, as well as helping prevent recurrences;
    • Elaborating HSE warnings, providing information to the company, if required;
    • Opening HSE TAGs when necessary, filling in documents with required information;
    • Controlling HSE TAGs, consulting documents for indicator analysis;
    • Facilitating the Behavioral Safety Program, planning activities, calling the observation team and guiding activities, as well as monitoring indicators, preparing and communicating reports;
    • Participating in the preparation and management of the Environmental Risk Prevention Program, checking its feasibility and providing information on it;
    • Supporting CIPA (Accident Prevention Internal Commission), its trainings, meetings and other tasks;
    • Supporting SIPAT (Work-related Accident Prevention Week), helping plan and execute the event;
    • Being in charge of purchase requests related to Labor Safety and internal procedures for payment, and all other required procedures;
    • Preparing and revising Health and Safety procedures when necessary;
    • Participating in preparation, revision and communication of risk maps of the company;
    • Supporting the Fire Brigade team management, planning meetings, simulations, training and other activities;
    • Inspecting machines and equipment, civil layouts and structures, checking if they comply with legal and other applicable requirements;
    • Participating in Daily Safety Dialog and HSE meetings, discussing matters related to HSE, whenever necessary;
    • Elaborating and enforcing various Labor Safety campaigns, identifying demands and planning awareness actions;
    • Helping collect and analyze data from HSE indicators of the head office and branches, as well as planning and monitoring action plans;
    • Ensuring the physical integrity of oneself, the team’s, and others’, adopting and spreading risk prevention attitudes and promoting health quality in general;
    • Responding for quality, reliability and performance of resources, services and information generated by the activities under their responsibility
    • Knowing, applying, promoting and complying with the legal provisions and the internal procedures of Work Health and Safety,contributing to eliminate possibly hazardous situations in the workplace, occupational diseases, and the degradation of the environment;
    • Supporting the immediate manager/leader in matters inherent to their sector, presenting and discussing problems and irregularities in order to subside and define procedures and actions to take;
    • Performing other related activities, at the discretion of the immediate manager/leader.
